You need to know these 2 key tips if you use cold market methods.
Great training last night on the Top Earner Success School webinar with Ray Higdon.
There was a ton of must-have information, but time limits me to only talking about 2 key tips today.
1. Cold Marketing Tip #1 – Apparel:
You are at a restaurant and have a great waiter. You approach him after a great meal with great service, to see if he is open to an opportunity. You are wearing a shirt with the logo for your network marketing company. When you approach him, you discover that he has googled the company name from his phone, and guess what? He pulled up an article about your company being a SCAM. How often have we seen internet marketers use different company names as a SCAM to draw you to their offer?
How about a logo that helps you, rather than hurts you? I learned about three of these last night:
a. Your team logo – should create curiosity.
b. sports team apparel – provide perhaps a common point to open a discussion, especially during playoff seasons
c. place apparel – as above, works really well if they have been or want to go there. Think desirable vacation sports and exclusive hotels and resorts
2. Cold Marketing Tip #2 – Just Curious?
If you are like me, you have heard of FORM, asking your prospect questions about their family, occupation, recreation, and money. This is a great way to learn about someone you just met, your cold market. Is there anybody else uncomfortable to start asking questions seemingly out-of-the-blue?
How about leading with a real icebreaker? Something like: Just curious, I see that you are very good at what you do and I wondered if you would be open to taking a look at a side project if it didn’t interfere time-wise with what you are doing now?
Just curious, said with the right tonality, can lower resistance by sounding like a conversation rather than an interrogation.

Although I got a lot more out the Top Earner Success School training, I felt just these two points would increase the success rate on anyone approaching a cold market prospect. Heck, it won’t hurt with your warm market either.
