Serious About Big Changes? 2 Simple Steps

2 Simple Steps

Start Simple with 2 Simple Steps?

But you have a long ways to go, right?

Setting goals is good but making changes necessary to reach those goals is better.

As a Baby Boomer, I have maybe had too much experience on what hasn’t worked?

Thinking back on last year, did you find that you didn’t have enough time to get to your goals?

What can you do different this year to get better results.

Simple Step #1 – Creating TIME

creating time in 2 simple stepsDo you feel that you don’t have enough time yet watch other people getting the results that you haven’t been able to?

Let’s start with the first simple step to get more time.

Get up 30 minutes earlier.

Then use that time for something productive, not just checking your email. Work on YOU.

Unfortunately, your results won’t get much better until you do.

I recommend reading something to improve yourself – could be a book written by someone experiencing the success you desire, or it could be reading something to increase your faith, like the Bible. Your choice. It’s probably better to do both?

Simple Step #2 – Finding TIME

I know, we all have only 24 hours a day, so where are you going to find more.

How about, we reassign different activities to the time we do have?

How about we replace an hour or two per day of watching TV to other activities, that will lead you toards your goals.

That may be

  • Reading information to motivate you, or to increase your skills
  • Taking action with what you learned with activities to move you closer to your goals.

Now what will these two Simple Steps accomplish for you?

The perhaps hidden benefit is that they will change your habits, replacing habits taking you away from your goals with habits that will lead you towards your goals.

Another result will be an increase on your self esteem and self confidence, as you witness yourself becoming the person you want to be, someone who says that “I will do it” and takes action to get it done.

These feeling will carry over to other areas of your life, probably making you a better spouse, parent, or whatever.

Success is defined as progressive realization of a positive goal, and isn’t that what we are talking about here.

So it’s like eating an elephant, you know, one bite at a time.

I encourage you to make this the best year ever, and to making yourself the best you, the person you were created to become!
