These 3 Tips will help you start right in your blogging adventure.
First, these came from a webinar I recently attended where Andrew Naughton was interviewing Ty Tribble, a blogging legend. I will give you some info on this at the end of today’s post.
Blogging Tip #1:
Identify your target audience. Who are the people you want to attract?
Do they have a problem that you can help them solve?
Who do you want to follow your blog and develop a relationship with?
Blogging Tip #2:
What word would these folks use to look for you?
What are their needs?
Figure out the words they would use to search for you, and incorporate these word in your subject and your message so that you will be found by your target audience.
Blogging Tip #3:
SEO – don’t be distracted by all the gurus and their advice in how to trick Google. A little SEO will be achieved by using tips 1 and 2 but don’t get put off track by trying to follow all the guru suggestions on ranking. You may attract more people but will they stay? Probably not, as they were not attracted by your content.
Be real. Give your audience what they need and want, and they will stay with you. Provide value to them by being the one who can help solve their problems. These 3 tips can get your blogging of to a right start!
