5 Key Tips for Your Network Marketing Business

Here’s 5 Key Network Marketing Recruiting Tips to Help Your Business

I recently attended a webinar with Tom “Big Al” Schreiter and Mark Januzewski “The World’s Laziest Networker” and here of 5 of my key takeaways from among the pearls of wisdom from Mark and Al.

These tips are in no particular order all are intended to draw your prospect to you rather than repel them away from you.

1. Find “misfits”, someone who is not happy in the 9-5 world and is looking for a better way, a way to do something meaningful with their life. I also took this as not trying to convert someone that is happy with doing what they are doing.

2. Nobody is a prospect until you talk to them. I took this as a reminder that we need to talk to people. Just putting a name on a list doesn’t advance your business until you actually talk to them.

3. Find people who “want it” and not just “need it”. We all know people who need what we have but most are content to get by. Maybe coming home from work and sitting on the couch to watch TV is all they really want. Find people with a burn, who have a fire within to be more than they are.

4. Create rapport. We all relate to people who look at life the same way we do, so you want to quickly create that rapport with your prospect, rather than creating a “No” before they even look at what you have to offer.

5. Listen. This means really listen, listen to find out what they want in life, and their reason for wanting it. When you understand what they are looking for, you can then determine is there is a fit with your business, decide if you even want to work with that person, and then you can move forward to have them watch a presentation.

In summary, I believe the most important is establishing rapport to determine who is really a prospect for your business and avoiding triggering their “no” mechanism before you even start.

Thanks Mark and Tom for generously sharing your time.
