Detroit files for Bankruptcy – Wake Up America!
This message is not politically correct and may attack some sacred entitlement cows. But it needs to be said. This is not about gloom and doom, it is about hope, and embracing change in your life!
This morning as I looked at the Detroit News online, I discovered that this one great city has declared bankruptcy. Detroit was the poster child for prosperity for much of the 20th century, and it was built on the success of the Automotive Big 3. Ford has not but GM and Chrysler have gone through bankruptcy themselves and have changed.
Can we expect a rebirth in the city of Detroit? Not if the culture of entitlement and archaic union rules prevails.
What can we learn from this? How about the folly of relying on government for your “security” rather than taking charge yourself? This fine nation was founded by those who left another country where the government controlled their lives and their ability to freely worship. They came to a new land and fought hardship to secure freedom for America – one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
Today’s message is to stop looking for your success outside of yourself. You need to take charge of ‘You Inc.”!
I was on a webinar last night and I heard a company founder express that one of the tenants of the founding of his company was that those who joined him would have fun. Now that sounds like a company that I can work with!
Again, this is not a message of gloom and doom, but a message of hope for you and your family.
