Well, what do you really want? Make Money? Why be a Compensation Plan Expert?
It can be real easy to study your company’s compensation plan and get it all figured out because, Lord knows, you won’t be able to sponsor someone until you have it all figured out. WRONG
1. There is no direct connection here with making money
2. It is not duplicatible
3. You can figure it out as you go along anyways.
The real danger is that you will duplicate all this research on your team, and they will be analyzing themselves to death instead of bringing people into their business. And then, after a month or so, when they know all about the comp plan and still aren’t making any money, they disappear. Apparently they have joined the Witness Protection Program as you can’t even find them.
Let’s consider an alternative – exposing the business to new people
In a legitimate network marketing company, money is made by people buying products and services.
That means your new folks need to find people who want what you have, are serious about doing something about it, and introduce your business to them.
Your job is to teach them the right way to find people, the right way to pique their interest, and the right way to get them in front of your company presentation. You will notice that I didn’t say that your job was to explain the compensation plan.
To make your job easier, and to show them the way, for those who are detail focused and want to know it all, point them to their back office for an explanation of your comp plan. Meanwhile, your time is best spend either finding prospects or working with your team’s prospects.
