Who is your ideal prospect and are you looking for the right person?
Some people do not qualify for your time and be careful to find that out quickly.
Who are some of these people?
The Comfortable:
These folks are content just to be comfortable and are not looking for anything to take them out of their comfort zone.
I would not try to recruit them as that would make them uncomfortable. They may change later in life but now is not the time.
The Employee:
I am not saying that anyone who works as an employee of someone else is not a good prospect. We all started out there.
I am talking about those folks who are happy being an employee, having a boss tell them what they have to do, and for whom the though of taking charge of their day scares them.
Well then, who is the right prospect for your business?
In short, someone who wants to win.
You should be looking for someone with vision and dreams, knows what they want, and is just looking for a way to get there.
I am not saying that you shouldn’t help them finesse and tune these visions and goals, as most of us have seen our dreams and goals decrease to match our circumstances. You can help them rebuild their dreams.
You are looking for someone with a fire in their gut, with a spark in their eyes, who are looking to be more than who they currently are.
Not everyone will share your vision and not everyone will join your team. That is alright as you don’t need everyone. You just need enough of the right people, the winners, and your job becomes to help them win in your business.
Working with winners is rewarding. Far better than trying to get a comfortable person uncomfortable enough to do something.
