Why is imagination more important than knowledge?
As it’s a quote from Einstein, I believe imagination is more important than knowledge. Do you?
I just did a blog post on “What is the Most Expensive Thing You Can Own?“
If you missed it you can see it HERE
In that post, I talked about a closed mind.
So why would we consider a closed mind and imagination at the same time? Well, I believe they are related.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
―
Imagination probably will be extremely limited with a closed mind.
If you are open to possibilities, then your imagination can be given free rein.
Many of us have fixed opinions on a lot of things.
Have you ever believed that something was one way and it turned out to be another way?
I sure have.
Well if we have a lot of knowledge along with a closed mind, we just put ourselves in a box, a box of our own making that confines us.
Do You want to do greater things?
Do you feel that there are things you can’t do, but others are already doing them?
Could it be they have a “bigger box”?
Einstein felt that his great strength was that he was passionately curious.
Hmmm, to be curious, wouldn’t that be more open-minded, and to lose the thought that we know it all and be open to learning new things?
If we are looking to do great things this year, could it be that we need to become more curious, more open-minded, and kick open that box in our own mind that’s been holding us back?
We are created for greatness. If this whole world was created by God speaking it into existence, what can you speak into existence in your life?
What had been put in your heart? What are your dreams?
And what is in the way of you reaching your dreams?
We have met the enemy and he is us. – Pogo
So what next?
Could it be our own lack of imagination is related to our closed mind?
What would you do today if you knew you could not fail?
What if????
What if we kicked doing it our way out of the box, like a baby bird kicking its way out of the shell?
Now, we could let our imagination run wild.
What can you imagine for yourself? What can you accomplish in 2019?
That’s a liberating thought, right?
Now, let’s just go and do it now!
Wishing you the best year ever!
