New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Work
but I also have good news, I got nine keywords that will help you with your 2015 plans!
Again, the bad news: New Year’s resolutions don’t work
- Why?
- Probably because with everything that bothered us about our life, we decide to make a resolution to address it.
- These resolution become overwhelming and we don’t do it, right?
So let’s stop beating ourselves up and focus on the good news!
Now the good news: nine keywords
I learned these nine keywords from the lazy networker, and I feel this could really help you.
The first four: What Did I Do Right?
What did you do right back in 2014?
- celebrate what you did right
- put these on your list to continue in 2015.
- that wasn’t hard, was it?
The next four: What Could I Improve?
Identify what you could improve over last year and come up with a game plan for each element on your list.
Take what you learned in 2014 and build on it for 2015, again in a positive way.
The last word, #9: Balance
It is important to maintain balance in your life. Sure, you can go short sprints out of balance – an important project – a family vacation – but overall you want to keep in balance.
What items do you need to keep in balance?
- Your spiritual life
- Your relationship with your spouse or significant other (schedule a regular date night)
- Relationships with your family and friends
- Your business or career.
With this focus on balance, your life will have more joy!
Be sure to schedule all these important items so that some, usually personal, don’t fall by the wayside.
Wrapping up: the 9 Key Words
- What did I do right
- What could I improve
- Balance
I wish you a blessed 2015 and I hope you find this information as insightful as I did when I first heard it.
