Stand on your principles and increase your beliefs
After 8 years since I first met, I reconnected with Jerry Clark when he spoke at Top Earner Academy in Tampa. I subsequently listened to his interview with Doug Firebaugh, and Doug mentioned this important note.
Your Principles
those things like integrity, honesty, work ethic, things that provide the strength that you bring to this world
Your Beliefs
are something you’ve learned over time

I agree that we should stand on our principles, because that is who we are.
I also agree that our beliefs can limit our progress or they can propel us to greatness. The good news is that we can control our beliefs.
Our beliefs are generally formed by what we accept from what we see, hear, read etc – our interpretation of input from our 5 senses, but also from our reasoning.
If you want to develop a belief that people are bad, the world is bad, just keep on watching the nightly news and read the daily newspapers, may even listening to disempowering music and watching disempowering TV.
If you hang around people that deal on doom and gloom, who are envious and gossip about others, that look for a storm on a sunny day, you will probably develop the same beliefs.
OK, how do I increase my beliefs?
- Stop doing what most of the people do, like the items outlined above.
- Increase the uplifting input daily. Listen to empowering music and documentaries, stories of the power of the human spirit. Read biographies of successful people, listen to educational programs (turn your car into a university on wheels
- Optional for believers – if you are a believer (I am), read the Bible every day and associate with fellow believers. I follow biblical and prophetic ministries, and listen to this information when driving.
- If you are not a believer, item 3 above may still apply to you.
- Limit your association with negative people, hopefully they are not in your close family….
- Increase your association with positive people. I will create another blog post on my recommendations in this area.
- Action and accomplishment raises your belief level, I recommend this activity.

I am now going to say something that may seem to contradict the above. Sometimes we see something that trouble our soul, especially if we are on Facebook 🙂

Sometime we have to stand on principle and attract negativity to us.

While I encourage you to stand on principle and not sell out to the world that embraces negative beliefs, I encourage you today to embrace and celebrate the positive, while generally ignoring the negative.
Wishing you a blessed day!
