Stress – 90% of what we worry about never happens

Do YOU suffer from Stress – 90% of what we worry about never happens!

Stress is a killer!

Experts haven’t identified stress as a direct cause of death, but the medical community almost unanimously agrees that stress is deadly when combined with obesity, heart disease, smoking, depression, and other serious health issues.

Here are 5 Cool Ideas for reducing stress and a special discount on my audio CD Stress Busters for Busy People. Get the link and discount code below.

1. You can refuse delivery on stress.
Much stress is based in fear, so you can give yourself a boost anytime, anywhere, by dealing with that fear. Metaphorically, spread your arms parallel to the ground and repeat the mantra, “You can’t hurt me.” Other versions of this helpful creed are “You won’t hurt me” and “I trust you not to hurt me.”

2. Learn how others deal with stress.
Pay attention to how people deal with bad news, long lines, and poor service. Observe how some people respond to stress with aggression and anger. Notice how others cope by smiling and asserting themselves without raising their voices. Model people in the second group and you won’t be so stressed.

3. Say “so long” to negative people.
You have a limited amount of time to spend with others. Each hour you spend with negative people is an hour you can’t spend with positive people. If you can’t say “so long” to negative friends and associates, at least don’t say “hello” as often.

4. Impose deadlines on stress.
Refuse to let stress linger. Why have a “bad day” when you can have a “bad hour” or a “bad minute?” Did someone just yell at you? Convince yourself that your anger need only be present until the person’s words dissipate.

5. Repeat after me, “Mondays are fun.”
Many people don’t like Mondays. They think that the first business day of the week is going to be bad news. This is a depressing way to approach one-seventh of your life! Think of Mondays as a fresh start to the week or the first day of the week that generates income. I’m convinced that Monday is the best day of the week.
