Yesterday’s Success doesn’t exempt you from today’s commitments
What made you successful yesterday can position you for a breakthrough or a downfall!
If you continue the actions that made you successful yesterday, your success today will be enhanced.
If you slack off and stop doing what needs to be done, you are setting yourself up for failure tomorrow.
The choice seems obvious, right.
I took this from Pastor Nate’s message today (from 2 Samuel) as it applies directly to our business as well as our personal life.
On a similar note, I just listened to Cesar Rodriguez’ video on his blog today – all about no excuses. No excuse from you rather than do what you should be doing and accepting no excuses from others, which just enables them to continue in failure mode. Cesar is one of my mentors, from a team of Rockstars and Industry Legends.
A role model for this school of thought would be Ray Higdon – when you look up consistent action in the dictionary, I expect you will find Ray’s picture.
So what is my message today?
- Do what you know you need to do, especially if it has made you successful previously.
- Stop doing what isn’t contributing to your success.
- Stop making excuses.
- Stop accepting excuses from others. Yes, some folks have legitimate reasons but most times you are just enabling them to continue on the failure path.
Go for the gusto, life is a magnificent adventure.
