Video Blogging Tip #6: What can I blog about?
Choose your content to provide value for your target market.
“What can I say in my video” is probably the first question that we ask ourselves.
You may not be an expert in the subject you choose to blog about, but if you are passionate about the subject, and have learned from the experts in your industry, you probably know more about your subject than 99% of your target market.
What does my audience want to know?
Assuming that you have identified your target market, I would expect that they are a lot like you.
Now that you have invested your time and money to learn a lot more about your subject, this qualifies you to teach this information to others. Now if they are looking for this information, they may be able to google the subject and find your post.
What’s that do for me?
By being found as the “expert” in your subject matter, folks that are looking are attracted to you and may choose to follow you, especially if you invite them to Like, Share, and Comment.
What would cause them not to follow you, even if you are providing the information that they just search for? How about if your next blog posts were all about you selling rather than you teaching?
I advise that 80% of your blog posts provide value to your audience, and then you can mix in your business product or service, By now they will be more receptive to your offer, as you will have built up the trust factor.
Does that make sense?
If you agree of have a different opinion, please comment. I hope you found value and if you did, feel free to Like and Share.
Be blessed,
Ron
