Who are You? or Who am I?
When people ask about you, who you are, how to you answer?
Do you answer with your job? I am a lawyer, I am a plumber, I am an electrician….
The risk in identifying yourself with what you do?
“If you are what you do, if you don’t, you’re not”
Many people who have lost their jobs have experienced a loss in seeing who they are,
Are you happy? Who do you see in the mirror.
You are not your circumstances. You were created for greatness.
You are not your past – it ended yesterday. Today is a new day and you can change your future.
Who am I?
Today would be a great time to pause and reflect, take stock, take inventory of “You Inc.”
I would also recommend looking at where you are today compared to where you thought you would be by now.
Your next steps:
- Goals – set your goals – what you want to achieve – and a timeline – by when?
- Vision – What are you about? Record what is important to you, how you would like to be known, and the characteristics of the person you would like to be.
I will be following this theme of positive growth in future blog posts, so please drop back and visit.
