3 Steps for Success in 2014

Well, January is almost behind us. Many of us make New Years resolutions to improve on the last year’s results. How about you.
How can I help you get better results?
First off, your habits in 2013 are largely responsible for your 2013 results.
In 2014, to get better results, you will need to develop and use better habits.
It’s time to take inventory of where you invest your time and your money.
In the home business industry, we find many people want to “change their lives”, get out of debt, and have enough money to live their ideal life. That’s the good news.
The bad news if they want to change their lives for the better without changing their lives. Continuing to do what you have been doing and expecting different results is described as ‘Insanity”.
Taking inventory of where you spend your time may help you identify areas of your life where your activities do not move you towards your goals, and actually move you in the wrong direction.
Now, your 3 Steps for Success:
If you are struggling to find time for your home business, where should you look?
- How about the time you watch TV each week? I personally minimize time watching TV and limiting my exposure to negative information. This both increases my time for my business and helps elevate my mood. Watching the news is the most obvious source of negative input as the negative stories far exceed the positive stories.

Have you developed activities with friends over the years that take time and don’t contribute to you achieving your goals. Some activities that you enjoy can be put aside for a season to allow you to move forward, while others may be discontinued if they not only take your time but surround you with negativity.

Have a family meeting and discuss why you are looking to change and ask for help from your family in both understanding your new mission and identifying activities which may be reduced, postponed, or eliminated to buy you the time you need.

This simple step can make the difference between you business accelerating or having it stagnate right out of the chute.
Imagine how you will feel as you see your business grow, rather than the feelings of frustration and helplessness of nothing changing for you.
The good news is that you are in control, and no-one can interfere with your control without your permission. Take charge of your life and your will not only have more success in 2014, but you will feel more powerful and in charge of your life.
