Be careful of stones that you throw

positive words

Be careful of stones that you throw?

I bet you know that song, right

Be Careful of Stones That You Throw

Hank Williams

A tongue can accuse and carry bad news
The seeds of distrust it will sow
But unless you’ve made no mistakes in your life
BeĀ careful of stones that you throw.

Source: MetroLyrics
Although Hank Williams recorded this song 69 years ago, it is no less true today.

There is a lesson for all of us here, right?

In fact the Bible tells us not to gossip.
But could there be another meaning here?
Perhaps the most dangerous is the stones that we throw at ourselves.

Do you speak bad things about yourself?

Things like:
– I am always so clumsy
– I could never do that
– They are so much smarter than I am
You get the idea.
These stones that we throw at ourselves may do the most damage, as our subconscious believes the lie that we tell ourselves, the stones at we throw at ourselves.

OK Ron you may ask, how do we stop throwing these stones at ourselves?

Speak only positive things over yourself.
If you have a self-condemning thought, just rephrase that to something less negative or more positive if possible.
Change “I can’t do that” to “I’ve never done that before”.
Change “I am stupid” to “that was a stupid thing to do and I will not do that again”
You get the picture.
Do you see any reason that we both can’t start being kind to ourselves today?
I am not saying that you should excuse bad behaviors as we do reap the seeds that we sow.
Do you have anything that you say to yourself that makes you feel bad about yourself?
Looks like it’s time to change that, right.
Blessings friend
