It’s a new day! Day One of my new journey to health.

Day 1 on the road to health

What do I mean – my new journey to health?

Haven’t I been on a journey to health for the past few years?
Well yes, I have.

I have learned a lot

  • things you should eat
  • things you shouldn’t eat
  • what’s in our food
  • what’s in our water

Shucks, I also found there is a difference between knowing and doing.

I followed closely on a plan a few years back, to be very intentional about what we ate, and with this knowledge Barbara was very good at buying more healthy food.

Well, what happened?

Seeing we travel a lot (a whole lot?) and eat out a lot (yeah, that too), I was watching myself creep back to where I didn’t want to be.

One recent morning, I stepped on the scales and I read “NO MORE”. Well, that’s really not what the scales said, just my reaction.

That same day, I received a video from two of my friends, who talked about how they had lost a lot of weight, gained a lot of energy, and felt much better than they previously did.

So what locked in my journey to health?

These guys are internet marketers, working from home, so I guess you would say not normally seeing a high exercise day, right?

And more opportunity to drink coffee and eat as well. In fact, I saw a lot of Facebook posts from coffee shops…..

Coincidence? Maybe.

But isn’t coincidence just God’s way of appearing anonymous.

I spoke to my friends the next day and found out what they were doing.

Let’s see now

  • they lost weight (about 30 pounds each) – I feel I could stand to lose 20 pounds  – a least make my love handles disappear.
  • they gained more energy – I could use a bunch of that too

Then they talked about other health benefits which were important to me.

Why is this the next step in my journey to health?

Well, I was not raised to be stupid – the decision was an easy one.

Today I took my first drink (no, not that type of drink) – a first drink to a more healthy Ron!

Friends, hold my feet to the first – check in on my to make sure I am sticking to it, checking my progress.

I’m good with that.

Hold me accountable to walk the talk!
