Make Life Better – 2 tips to improve your relationships

Making Life Better

How Can You Make Someone’s Life Better?

Tim at TEAL3First, I want to give credit for this idea to Tim Sales, a legend in Network Marketing as the first trainer that I remember to put the focus on properly and honestly describing what the industry is and what it is not.

I recently had the honor of meeting Tim in person at Ray Higdon’s Top Earner Academy in Tampa. Tim’s description of the primary purpose of business as Making Life Better for your customers and clients.

OK, how to make someone’s life better:

  1. By helping them get what they want.

But how do I find out what they want? By listening.

By listening, I mean active listening, not just waiting for your turn to speak, but paying full attention to them.

If you are in marketing, you can determine if the product or service you provide can help them get what they want, or not. This makes a valuable and time effective process for both of you.

What do most marketers do? Just the opposite, they dump their solution on them without knowing if they have interest.

2. By helping them understand that they can have more than their current goals

God created us for a life of abundance but life has beat most of us down to accept less than what we are actually capable of achieving.

You can help that person understand that they can be even bigger than their current dreams. Maybe they have never considered stepping out of their self-imposed box into the greatness they were created for.

Business and Personal Relationships

While my original intent for this post was about business, you should realize that this mindset is important in your personal life.

Do you make others’ lives better in your personal relationship. if you are married, or dating, you are in sales as you must have sold the other person on you, and how you would make their life better. It may be time to circle back and consider are you making their life better today?

You may want to look at other relationships to see if these make your life better as well, as we all have been a part of toxic relationships in the past, and hopefully not in the present. But I digress.

Conclusion:

If you are in business, focus on how you can make someone’s life better:

  1. by listening to what they want and determining if you can help them get it
  2. by listening and encouraging them to step out of any self-imposed box, helping them dream again to become more than who they are.

Wishing you success in your relationships and encouraging to make life better for both parties of your relationships.
