Acid in my gas tank, isn’t that silly?
Could be. It depends.
First, when you pull your car up to a gas pump and you see the sign “May contain up to 10% Ethanol”, you probably go ahead and fill your tank, right?
Don’t get me started on why we talk about a food shortage and yet use a corn-based product as fuel, a corrosive fuel which damages your car……
Back to my point what if you saw a red sign that says “caution – fuel may contain up to 15% hydrochloric acid”, would you go ahead and pump that into your tank?
No way, right?
But aren’t we doing that to our bodies daily?
That is like putting fuel in our personal gas tank
With my seniority on the planet, looking back I was raised on a farm and we mostly ate what we grew.
Nowadays, nobody has time for that. When you need to eat, you want it Right Now – that’s why pretty much every home has a microwave oven.
That’s why we have convenience foods.
Do you feel that all foods are good for you?
Do you feel that we have some agency watching over us so that all the food in the grocery store is safe to eat?
If that is true, why do the FDA folks spend more time prosecuting folks who provide healthy food than actually giving us the truth of what is in our food?
What am I talking about? Here’s 2 quick examples – you can Google it if you want more info.
- FDA prosecuting distributors of cherries for claiming that they contribute to good health (cherry trafficing?)
- FDA vs Diamond Foods – who can’t claim health benefits of walnuts or they must be a drug and fall under the drug industry – I kid you not!
Meanwhile they are putting “suspected” carcinogens in are food with no interference from the FDA – to find out why you may have to “follow the money”?
So what are you and I going to do to protect our families?
Be informed – read the labels – notice that real food normally doesn’t have labels, how do you label an apple.
In fact, you may want to check out my blog past on Perimeter Shopping https://dreamroper.com/perimeter-shopping/
Or would you can buy this food:
ferrous sulfate, flour niacin, thiamine mononitrates, riboflavin, whey protein concentrate, sodium phosphate, citric acid, yellow #5 and yellow #6the package will be found as Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Maybe we would be healthier just eating the box it came in?
That’s just the tip of the iceberg but here’s what I would advise to not “put acid in your tank”.
