Seniorhood, from tragic to magic
Or how a senior regains purpose and prosperity
Seniorhood today:
We are in trying times for seniors. Most of us know seniors who are either involuntarily unemployed or have taken “early retirement”.
Now early retirement sounds good but not if your equity in investments, in real estate, and likely cash reserves have dwindled to the level that won’t support our daily expenses.
Heck, you may even be one of the casualties.
My Seniorhood Experience:
Personally, I was given the boot by the General Manager when I was 65, which is a blessing compared to others whom I know.
Now I was “lucky”, as a door was opened for me. I don’t know if you believe in divine appointments but I was given the nod from three directions to call a company owner with whom I had previous business relations and was immediately offered the opportunity to represent his company in my area.
Did I see a drop in income – absolutely, but my quality of life improved right away and I no longer had to work for unethical people.
As one door closed, another opens, and I am clearly grateful.
Your Seniorhood Experience?
Are you among the majority of people who were not as “lucky”? What options are open to them?
This book is dedicated to seniors, and most reference is to the United States, but also applies to Canada and other nations.
While North Americans have been spared a lot of the European meltdown issues, we have just come out of the recession.
Your Seniorhood Options:
I will start out outlining options that I see as available to seniors who are now “free agents” and I will delve a little deeper in what I feel are the preferred solutions.
Again, these may be subjective and dear reader, the ultimate decision for your life is up to you as to what sits right with you.
You may want to consider getting out of your comfort zone, so that you may stretch and grow.
Please note this applies to more than just to seniors but as this may be new to some seniors, I feel all of us can use a reminder anyway.
In the next video and post, I will be outlining why you would want a home business and who should have a home business. Please drop back.
And if you found value here, please comment, like and share.
Be blessed
