Are you looking to start a home business, or are you looking to work from home?
What’s the difference?
I find many people who respond to ads for starting a home business are really looking for a JOB, working from home. They are not looking to be their own boss, but wish to be an employee of someone else. In fact, if you are looking to have someone pay you a wage for working on your computer, you are competing against global resources. There are many educated and willing participants in the Philippines who will gladly perform these services for a whole lot less money than you are probably looking to earn.
A home business is for someone who is more entrepreneurial, who desires freedom enough to take action and step out of the box. If that is not for you, you may want to settle in to what you are more comfortable with – being an employee.
Most folks looking to “be an employee” are looking for the “security of a JOB”, which I find to be an outdated concept when I observe our changing world. The reality is if you depend on someone else for your security, you have none.
If you embrace freedom, the freedom to be what God created you to be, without the limits placed on you by other people, you are at the right place in time.
Now, how do you start on your home business? There are really only three main considerations:
- Provide value
- Identify your target market
- provide value to your target market by filling their needs
Pretty simple, right? Simple but not easy.
I applaud you for taking the steps to take responsibility and engaging the freedom of a home business.
