Today is the day – and wisdom dictates this secret for you.
Today – the end of the year and the end of the decade.
Today, Sept 29th, at sundown begins year # 5790 on God’s calendar and the start of the Jewish feast celebration of Rosh Hashanah.
It is believed that this will be the start of a very important year.
But my question to you – will it be an important year for you?
Well, I’m not Jewish so my New Year on the Julian calendar is another 3 months.
But, I can start right now making my next year better than this one.
I don’t know about you but I claim tomorrow as the start of my New Year to making my life the best it can be.
What can you do?
What can we both do to make our next year better?
In the Jewish tradition, the old year is gone and closed and the new year begins a new opportunity.
How would your life change if today you released your past and grabbed hold of your future?
Maybe that’s why our car windshields are big and our rear view mirrors are small?
We are meant to focus on what’s ahead of us and let go of what is behind us?
What is the one secret that will make a difference in our tomorrows?
Wisdom!
We are told in all things, seek wisdom and understanding.
When God appeared to Solomon, he asked Solomon what gift did he want, and he answered “wisdom”, and as he did not ask for himself much more was added to him.
As Solomon is considered the wisest man in the Bible, perhaps we should listen to what he said and wrote.
If wisdom is the secret, how do we get it?
Now that is a good question and I feel I need to address that in another post.
Meanwhile, let’s just look at James 1:5 “if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Why don’t we start right there?
