If you want to walk on water, you first must get out of the boat.
In the bible, when Peter walked on water, he did it on faith. To start any major action requires faith.
Perhaps his companions in the boat had equal faith, who knows. But only Peter took action and got out of the boat.
What else can we learn from this story?
Peter was walking on water, looking ahead (up) towards Jesus. Then he looked down (back), he started to sink.
What is the message here? Have faith, take action, look up, and keep on going. Don’t look back, where your fears from the past return to cause you to sink.
What is faith and how do I get it?
Let’s ignore the biblical measure of faith and talk about the faith you need in your business.
Faith comes from confidence that you know what you are doing, and have the skills and knowledge to move forward.
You can get the needed skills from seminars, books, your mentors, etc. What you need is to exercise these skills.
In the bible, faith with out works is dead.
In your business, faith without action is pretty much the same, your business is dead.
The key formula from this post, are you ready?
Faith + Action = Success
And more good news, if you have faith, and take action, your success will give you more skills, increase your confidence and faith, allowing your next actions to give you even more success.
Nobody learned to swim reading a book, you jump into the water. No difference here, right.
