Why work a home business? Lifestyle!

Why a Home Business?

Why should you want a home business? How about “Lifestyle”.

Often I blog about the HOW of having a home business, and today let’s talk about the WHY.

Have you ever been in a similar situation? In a past experience, I was working 27 days out of 28, as I got a day off when going from night shift to day shift. On days, I generally worked 12 hours or more, on nights it was often over 14 hours, Why did I do that? Well, as a Manager, I didn’t have a whole lot of choice (I thought). Maybe I was in the wrong paradigm?

Fast forward to today, where I run my own business from home.

Harley Davidson, York PA

I recently visited a client in Pennsylvania, meeting with good folks and discussing business.

Barbara McleanHowever, I stopped on the way to “smell the roses”, exploring the history of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia where Barbara and I explored the town and enjoyed the scenery.

Niagara Falls, CanadaWe had a great drive through the middle of Pennsylvania and upstate New York, ending up at Niagara Falls Canada.

You can see Barbara and I at Horseshoe Falls aka the Canadian Falls.

OK Ron, why are you telling me all this?

Time freedom, that’s why. Our home business gives us the latitude of time freedom, visiting family and friends, seeing the sights, while travelling on business. As two people (and a dog) who like to travel, this is a great benefit of our home business.

We also were able to have dinner with my sister Sandra and her husband Bob in Welland, visit my Mom in Oakville, attend a family gathering in Grafton, have breakfast with Tony and Betty in Oshawa, visited Mary in Bowmanville, had dinner with Sherri and Robyn in Brampton, and then on to enjoy more scenery on the way home.

Where would you like to visit? Would you like to take trips which are considered business?

I recommend carefully selecting your home business to position yourself for your ideal Lifestyle!

Maybe I can help you wisely choose what’s right for you?

Be blessed,

Ron

Great post Ron. I love your comparison to life now and back then. I can relate having worked long hours myself in a previous business. Working for yourself from home is liberating. Thanks for sharing. I felt your excitement.

thanks for your comments Lynda. I sense a kindred spirit. I think back then it was the almighty dollar or a feeling that because I could do it I must do it? I guess a revelation was overdue?
